There was some exciting news at the recent Windsor Town Council meeting where it was announce that Sonoma County Tourism pledged funds to support the Windsor Hopper Shuttle program and then the Council members in turn matched the dollars which will allow the shuttle to be extended through the summer. This is exciting because there is no charge to ride the Hopper and can help locals go to the Tuesday movies, the Thursday Summer concerts and the Windsor Certified Farmers Market. Oh, and the Windsor Certified Farmers Market opens 2019 Season on Sunday, April 7th.

Spring is always a festive time in Windsor with blooming trees on the Town Green, mustard plants rising in the vineyards and a flurry of other events. The much-anticipated opening of Sweet T’s restaurant will be happening on Tuesday, March 7th. Dennis and Ann Tussey, along with their partner George Ah Chin, and a full crew, have been working tirelessly to bring Windsor the new Sweet T’s 2.Almost everyone knows Sweet T’s was located off Fountain Grove, in Santa Rosa, but was destroyed in the Tubb’s fire in October 2017. Here in Windsor February is a very active month for events. I’m also excited to announce that this month the Town of Windsor and the Windsor Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center will be working with the businesses in the Downtown Green area and the Beverage District, to provide a FREE SHUTTLE. The shuttle, provided by Pure Luxury, will pick people up at the Holiday Inn and Express, Hampton Inn, and Worldmark, then take guests, at no charge, around the beverage district and Downtown Green. This service will be called the Windsor Hopper. The shuttle will run from 10am-10pm, 7 days a week, and is also available to all residents.
