Sebastopol Walks:Now in their eleventh year, the volunteer leaders of the Sebastopol Walks Program continue to offer new adventures and to repeat some favorites around town, under sponsorship from the City. The Council unanimously supports a new event created by the Ped/Bike/Transit Sub-Committee: SebastoPedal GREEN on September 21, 2019, from 9 AM to 11 AM.

Goldridge Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 3919 was honored with a Diamond Jubilee Award in recognition of its 75 years of “exceptional service to the nation and its veterans throughout its seven and one half decades of dedicated support for the programs and purposes of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.”

The Annual Sidewalk Faire, from Friday July 19th through Sunday the 21st. Merchants will offer amazing discounts and guest vendors will line Main Street. Swing Dance lessons to a live band at the dhyana Center on Friday, July 19th starting at 6:30pm.” The dhyana Center is upstairs in the Basso Building, at the intersection of North Main and McKinley Streets. Also downtown this summer, the newly launched program called Friday Nights Arts + Beats + Eats continues with guest musicians at People’s Music, just a few doors south of the dhyana Center on the same side of the street. The Center for the Arts contributes to our casual summertime with its free Patio Series each Sunday from 2-4 pm, now through August 11th. The musical line-up of local talent is varied, the art activities fun for children and adults, and the venue relaxing.

On March 20, the City of Sebastopol launched a three-month 'Bus Buddies' program in an effort to help encourage ridership on Sonoma County Transit's Route 24. Overall ridership on the shuttle has already increased over 57% since free fares were announced last summer. The program aims to keep the momentum going, and ridership growing.

The Art Workshop of Western Sonoma County (AWS) is celebrating its 51st annual Apple Blossom Art Show this April. The show will feature more than 100 original paintings, drawings and fine art photography. With artworks ranging from rural landscapes to experimental abstracts, there's something for everyone.

Help Sebastopol recover from the flood. In addition to donating time and money, consider these actions to keep Sebastopol’s customer base: Patronize the shops and restaurants that are open at The Barlow. Support Main Street. Sebastopol’s Local Shuttle # 24 is the FIRST electric bus in Sonoma County Transit’s fleet. Come take a ride and try it out with a buddy. It’s FREE! In April and May, local volunteers are offering to be a BUS BUDDY. The ride-along program takes place on Wednesday mornings, with the 9:38 AM departure from the Hub-Rialto stop on Laguna Parkway [eastbound] for a round-trip, returning in about 40 minutes. Everyone’s invited!
