Sebastopol Shuttle - ride for FREE starting June, 4, 2018

Sebastopol City Council voted unanimously to subsidize the fares on local Route 24 as a pilot project for the next year. Starting June 4, the Sebastopol Shuttle will be a hop-on, hop-off mode of FREE transportation for anyone who wants to ride our local loop. Other bus routes (e.g., to Cotati, Santa Rosa, River communities) still require a fare.

Expanded hours and new bus stops

In response to the Fill the Bus Survey, Sonoma County Transit has also expanded the weekday hours, running until 6:40 p.m., and altered the route to include requested stops on McKinley St. for better access to Community Market, Taylor Maid Coffee and the Rialto.

Increase the number of riders

The hope is that free bus service will increase ridership by 20%, making it easier for seniors, teens, (parents of teens!), and low-income residents to get around without having to worry about having exact change for the departing and then returning trips.

And soon we'll have an electric bus!

Starting later in the summer, we will have an all-electric bus, the first in the County fleet!

Let's see what we can do to fill the bus, reduce traffic and decrease greenhouse gases!
