Old Time BBQ returns to Cazadero

The light fog touches the majestic redwoods outside of my airy cyber-hut. Although the landscape is dreadfully dry. the trees are green, nourished by the fog.

I am very pleased to tell you that the traditional Cazadero Old Time BBQ will be held on Sunday, Sept. 5 from 12-5 p.m at the spacious Cazadero Performng Arts Camp on Caz Hwy.

This beloved event features a tasty steak or chicken plate with salad, beans and French bread. It takes many volunteers to crate this great day of celebrating your community. Proceeds benefit the Cazadero Community Club, which passes them on to a variety of local groups, including the Cazadero VFD, Ft. Ross VFD, MES and others. Come spend the afternoon with neighbors and friends. The always awesome Auction will feature a myriad of locally donated items; the popular Pie Contest lures luscious entries. The Caz Community Church offers a tasty array of desserts, including some of the pie contest entries. Items such as aprons, shirts, caps and mugs which display the Club's logo will be for sale, too. Cold drinks from the Firefighters, children's games, live music and face painting by Celeste will insure your enjoyment. Tickets will be available soon. You may check the Club's website or Face Book page for up-to-date info, plus watch for more info on our electronic sign.
