New mural celebrates Sonoma County

Security Public Storage (SPS) announces the unveiling of a spectacular new 2100-sq ft mural honoring Santa Rosaā€™s unique heritage on Thursday, April 22nd at 4:00pm. The Chamber of Commerce and City of Santa Rosa officials will join the beloved long-time local SPS managers in the celebration. [Event will be outdoors, with masks and social distancing!]

SPS dedicates this stunning new art installation to the citizens of Santa Rosa, and especially to our Coffey Park community. The design reflects the areaā€™s rich heritage, with seven large panels, each celebrating a unique aspect of our local giftsā€”from the remarkable Charles M. Schulz Museum and the Luther Burbank Home & Gardens to Downtown Santa Rosaā€™s Railroad Square Historic District and Sonoma Countyā€™s magnificent redwoods forests.

The mural was designed and applied by local artist, Jerry Ragg, owner of Mural DĆ©cor. Jerry, a longtime resident of San Diego County, painted his first mural at age 8 and founded Mural DĆ©cor in 1986, deriving inspiration from nature and from the old masters. His clients range from private collectors and small businesses to corporate accounts including Fortune 500 companies. This is the fifth major mural commission Jerry has completed for SPS throughout California.

Everyone is invited to attend the official unveiling at SPS Santa Rosa, 1021 Hopper Avenue on Thursday, April 22nd, at 4:00pm. Refreshments will be served. Even if you canā€™t make it to the unveiling, we invite you stop by anytime to check it out! We are located just off US 101 at the Hopper Avenue exit.

Family-owned SPS is the trusted source for secure self storage since 1983, with 50 locations in the Western US and DC Metro area.
