A different approach to the holidays for Guerneville this year

Friends of Stumptown and the Russian River Chamber of Commerce are partnering to bring the community the Nights of Lights on December 3 and 4 in downtown Guerneville. Russian River businesses will have sales and special offers, and several merchants plan to stay open late on those nights for holiday shopping. River Arts & Media is working with local galleries to stay open late.

On Friday Dec. 3 from 6-8 p.m. in the main square, check out the annual Guerneville tree lighting along with hot chocolate and cider. For the kids, ornament decorating & coloring tables, with special guest Santa.

To volunteer or make a donation, reach out to the Russian River Chamber of Commerce at news@russianriver.com.

There’s no parade of lights this year in Guerneville, but keep an eye out for details on the Season of Lights Ride! You’ll be able to pick up a holiday map featuring decorated businesses and homes from Forestville to Duncans Mills. There will be cash and prizes given to the favorites!

The tree decorating contest in the back garden of boon eat + drink continues this year too.
