Ambulance services launch successful

In January, we launched our new 911 ambulance service SCFD-EMS with our partners in care Medic Ambulance. On Jan. 5 we held our ribbon cutting and our ambulances started responding to their first calls at 12:01 a.m. on Jan. 16. We are very grateful and appreciative to all that helped us get our crews and big red ambulances rolling and we look forward to providing the highest level of emergency medical services to Sonoma County.

Therapy dogs provide support, snuggles

Shout out to First Responder Therapy Dogs Kerith and Birdie for supporting our crews in January after our SCFD family suffered losses. These two stopped by Station 1 and brought us some much needed smiles and snuggles! First Responder Therapy Dogs provide emotional and mental health support for First Responders, we canā€™t thank them enough for the positive impact they have in the lives of our crews and staff.

Check out the picture of our SCFD family doggie wall of love! Can you tell we love puppies at Sonoma County Fire District? These cuties are up all year round at headquarters making us all smile!
