Jackie was an aid worker for many years in a voluntary capacity. She spent a lot of time in Africa and India working with refugees and displaced persons. When she returned home and started her own family, she turned to writing about news and current affairs as a way to highlight what is going on all over the world. She's now a mom to two daughters and is raising them to be aware of people who are less fortunate.
