Dirt to Dispensary Workshop Series

The Sonoma County Cannabis Program is hosting an eight-part workshop series to discuss all aspects of the Program, including permitting, zoning, compliance, standards, inspections, enforcement, business planning, taxation and more. Those interested in starting a cannabis business, permitting an existing operation, or getting more detail about what is required of cannabis businesses are encouraged to attend.

Prior to each of these workshops, relevant permit application forms and informational handouts will be made available on ourwebsite. Following the workshop series, the permitting agencies will be hosting hands-on permitting workshops to assist operators with their applications.

Meeting Documentation:

The May 3rd opening workshop for all operators included an overview of the Program, including the:

• Cannabis Health Ordinance, and
• Cannabis Business Tax Ordinance.

County staff will go over requirements that apply to all cannabis businesses such as zoning, separation criteria, and operator criteria, as well walk attendees through the permit process.

The workshop will also include an introduction to business planning basics.
