Whats Up in Windsor by Lorene Romero and Gayle Walz - January 2019

Then let’s all pat one another on the back because we survived 2018 and the holiday season. Wahoo! We can now hopefully look forward to a healthy and prosperous New Year.

Do you have some new and exciting resolutions? Or is it time to just regroup, focus on the future and setting new goals that are achievable? What are your plans for the near future?

Living here in Sonoma County, especially in Windsor, there are so many activities starting in January to keep us busy. This great town keeps bringing in new businesses and celebrating anniversaries.

Did you know… Sweet T’s will be opening in late January? Yes that’s right, after some unforeseen delays they will be opening near the end of the month. Everyone is excited and waiting to welcome them to their new home.

TSA Pre Enrollment Event at STS

January 7 ~ 11 - M-Thurs, 9am to 5pm; Friday, 9 a.m. to Noon (12 p.m.) @ Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS), 2290 Airport Blvd, Santa Rosa. Look for the Blue RV mobile unit in short term parking lot. Schedule appointment and pre-enroll prior to event at: universalenroll.dhs.gov

Windsor Police Department: We are looking for recruits for the Explorer Post! Kids must be ages 14-20 maintain at least a 2.0, commit to two meetings a month, 10 hours of ride along’s with deputies, and pass a background check. INFO: Beth Salkin at (707) 838-1234

Social Media Safety for Teens and Adults Wednesday, January 30 @ 5:30.

Windsor Lions Club crab and shrimp feed:

Come help our local Lions raise money for all their good causes! These events are a LOT of fun and you can EAT while you’re having so much fun! January 26. Tickets: $50 call 707 838-4531. Crab, shrimp, salad, pasta, bread and dessert with wine and a raffle! Now that’s entertainment! Come to the Windsor Community Center, 901 Adele Drive for cocktails at 5pm, dinner starts at 6pm. get your tickets in advance so you don’t miss out!

Kelly-Moore Paints OPENS a new store in Windsor:

Come celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Kelly Moore Paints in Windsor. They are conveniently located right next to Raley’s. This event will be held on January 29th from 5-7pm.
