The Sonoma County Medical Association Alliance Foundation Garden Tour - May 19 and 20

We return to Santa Rosa where 7 gardens and one home will be on display, whose owners have transformed their properties into unique expressions of their vision of beauty in harmony with the natural environment. Our “footprint” is relatively small- central and northeast Santa Rosa- and most of the gardens are relatively compact, which will promote a leisurely experience, although as always the Tour can be spread out over the 2 days if desired.

We are continuing and expanding on our long tradition of added attractions in the gardens. A variety of genres of live music will be performed by local youth. The medical community’s “Everyone has a Heart” art project creations will be on exhibit for viewing and purchase. Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer your most pressing garden questions. Once again, a Garden Bench from Absolute Home and Garden will be the door prize. Children’s books with a gardening theme by Sandy Baker will be autographed and for sale, and donated gently used gardening books will be available for bargain prices. A Plant Sale will feature succulents, perennials and other horticultural delights offered by Cottage Gardens of Petaluma.

For our Silver Anniversary Tour, we have pulled out all the stops for a fabulous array of Raffle prizes, including overnight stays in beautiful Sonoma County venues, wine and food pairings, and garden sculpture. You can purchase raffle tickets and a chance to win, as well as supporting our cause, even if you do not purchase tickets to the garden tour itself!

Our Community Beneficiaries this year include the Community Action Partnership of Sonoma County, Hope Counseling, LifeWorks of Sonoma County, Redwood Empire Food Bank, The Living Room Center, and Verity. In addition, Garden Tour is a primary fundraiser for SCMAAF’s in house programs serving Sonoma County youth to combat bullying in schools and distracted driving, provide holiday gifts and computers to foster children, and award scholarships for students pursuing careers in the health professions.

Tickets are $45 through April 30, $50 May 1- day of event
