Sonoma County Farmers Markets are Open and following COVID-19 Protocols

Just a reminder that we are still obligated to have our markets maintain low numbers in the aisles, keep up our best social distancing practices, wear masks and wash our hands whenever we have come into contact with contaminants or touching points.

If you find yourself in a line at the market please be aware of the aisle and do your best to move the line away from the aisle whenever possible. Together we can beat COVID-19 and keep our farmers' market open for our community.

Please do not touch any of the produce or food items, the vendors will get your items for you, Thank you!

This is actually a common practice in Europe long before the virus, I think we will be able to get the hang of it.

Santa Rosa farmers' market is offering CURBSIDE SERVICE for people who order by the evening before the market is open. There is a $10 charge for this service. Email your order to info@ilovefarmersmarkets.org All orders must be received by 5pm on the evening before the market. RIPE and ready to eat - it's FRUIT season.

In addition to Cherries, we have fresh strawberries, apricots, and nectarines. Cherries are coming into season so this is a perfect time to start eating them and cooking with them.

Please use our RECIPE for Chocolate Chip Cherry Bars if you haven't eaten all you purchased already!

INGREDIENTS 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (1 stick) 1 cup light brown sugar, packed 1 large egg 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon salt, optional 3/4 to 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 cup cherries (fresh or frozen)* INSTRUCTIONS: Preheat oven to 350F. Line an 8-by-8-inch pan with aluminum foil, spray with cooking spray; set aside. In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter, about 60 seconds. To the melted butter, add the brown sugar and stir to combine. Add the egg, vanilla, and stir to combine. Add the flour, salt, and stir until just combined, taking care not to over mix or the blondies will be tough. Fold in chocolate chips, fruit (I don’t halve the cherries: I like them chunky and big), and pour batter into prepared pan, smoothing it lightly with a spatula or offset knife if necessary.
