Raiders Award El Molino High School Student Lily Krauss

The Oakland Raiders made a surprise visit to El Molino High School in Forestville to present Lily Krauss with a $5,000 scholarship for being named the Raiders’ BAASST recipient.

Raiders Alumnus Jerry Robinson, who starred at Santa Rosa's Cardinal Newman High School, was joined by two members of the Raiderettes honoring Lily in front of her classmates, teachers and family inside the school’s library. She was also given Raiders-themed items that included a personalized Raiders jersey.

Lily has been involved in athletics at El Molino for all four years and has a 4.11 weighted GPA. Krauss, who has narrowed her college choices to UC Santa Barbara and UC Berkeley, moved to the U.S. from Germany when she was 10 years old.

The Bay Area All-Star Scholarship Team, formed by the Raiders, Golden State Warriors, Oakland A’s, San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, San Jose Earthquakes and San Jose Sharks, assists Bay Area High School students in achieving their goals of higher education. The students have demonstrated the value of education, good work ethic, and community outreach. Each of the deserving students receive a $5,000 scholarship and is recognized at each team’s ceremony.
