Goldridge VFW Post 3919 Receives Diamond Jubilee Award

Sebastopol, California

Goldridge Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 3919 was honored with a Diamond Jubilee Award in recognition of its 75 years of “exceptional service to the nation and its veterans throughout its seven and one half decades of dedicated support for the programs and purposes of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.”

The award was presented Tuesday, July 16 in a surprise visit from Peter Caggiano, VFW District 16 Commander from Dixon, California.

“The members of VFW Post 3919 are a pillar of support for Sebastopol, California,” said Vincent B. J. Lawrence, Commander-in-Chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars . “Year after year, they have provided superb public service to others, providing an invaluable network of service to those who have borne the battle, as well as to their families, advancing the health and well-being of those who bear the burden of defending our nation and our way of life.”

“It’s an honor to receive this award,” said Michael Dei, Post Commander of Goldridge VFW Post 3919. “It shines a light on our long history of service in the community and that may help inform other veterans of our presence here in the west county and the benefits they can receive by reaching out to us.”
