Geyserville Grapevine by deTraci Regula - September 2019

While it is sad to see the end of the many summertime concert series and other events, it’s also very nice to take a deep breath before fall in wine country really takes hold. No matter what time of year it is, it’s never anything like “dull” in this part of Northern Sonoma County.

One event that returns with the season is the monthly Geyserville Chamber of Commerce dinner series held every second Tuesday from September to June. These are fun community-based events here offering a speaker and a meal. The chance to socialize with local wine and a special drink in the cocktail hour beforehand never disappoints. Tickets and information are available at the Geyserville Chamber of Commerce website at https://geyservillechamber.com/events/ or call . These do sell out, so it is advised to get your tickets early – and that helps the group sponsoring the meals to plan ahead. And if they overestimate – that can be good too. I still remember snagging a fantastic “extra” whole cooked tri-tip at the end of one night’s festivities.

The last Sunset Music Series event this year at The Ranch at Lake Sonoma happens on Sunday, September 8th. The inaugural season for this series at The Ranch has been a smashing success – if you haven’t experienced the combination of great music and beautiful location yet, this is your last chance to do so this year. It’s a quick, romantic drive along the valley of vineyards - and then you get to enjoy being literally “above it all” at the ranch site. Local beer, wine and bites are all available for purchase on-site. Calling for directions at (707) 494-4449 may be helpful if you have not been there before, but it’s pretty easy to find. Although it is free to attend, they also have an Eventbrite page and you can register there if you wish. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/sunset-music-series-tickets-62027906137?aff=ebdssbdestsearch

Looking ahead to October, be sure to get your tickets for the 4th Annual Geyserville Beer, Wine and Spirits Festivalslated for October 13th. Once again, it’s held at the beautiful vineyard-surrounded grounds at the Geyserville Inn. Numerous local breweries, wineries and distilleries will participate for an afternoon of free music and fun, plus food available for purchase. It’s put on by the Geyserville Lodging Association of which Isis Oasis is a member. Tickets start at just $20. Grab more details at the Eventbrite page at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2019-geyserville-beer-wine-spirits-festival-tickets-53122477761?aff=ebdssbdestsearch.
