Cazadero Communications by Natasha Pehrson - October 2019

I am writing this on a very hot afternoon at the beginning of Autumn! It is not unusual for us to have warm weather at this time of the year, but it is still a bit worrying! The large redwoods outside of my airy cyber-hut provide much-appreciated shade!

I want to pass on to you Cazadero resident Judith Heineman’s very valid concern and request for us all to slow down! I totally agree-folks need to stop passing illegally (in a no-passing zone) and to not tail-gate! Both of these practices cause accidents and are completely preventable. I know that everyone is in a big hurry to get to their destination, but the small amount of time that you think that you are gaining is an illusion!!

My deep condolences to the family and friends of Emilio Porta, who recently passed away at 86. Emilio was a wonderful person, complete gentleman and avid volunteer in Cazadero. I so enjoyed our conversations in Spanish regarding his home country of Argentina.

The recent Cazadero Old Time BBQ was a big success, with many coming out to theMusic Camp for a busy day of delicious food, games, big raffle and camaraderie! To the many volunteers from the sponsoring Cazadero Community Club and beyond-THANK YOU!

More fabulous volunteers, led by firefighter Tony Goodwin and Chief Steve Krausmann did a wonderful painting of Firehall #1-very professional job!
