Cazadero Communications by Natasha Pehrson - February 2019

The large redwoods outside of my cozy cyber-hut are calm today, but during the recent storm were wildly casting limbs all over my deck and yard! Luckily none hit a vehicle or the house! I must admit to being very fearful of thunder and lightning (rare here). Growing up in New England, we received many exciting electric storms and one of my dear Aunts would literally hide in the closet!

Cazadero Shop Owners in Duncans Mills

I am sending out extra good wishes to Michael and Gail of 'Toys and Treats' in Duncans Mills. Due to Mike's illness, they have been closed and I do hope that they will reopen soon! 'Mr. Trombly's Teas', another lovely little shop in Duncans Mills, has closed its doors! BUT they are re-opening under new ownership – so stay tuned!!! Both of these businesses are (and were) run by folks from Cazadero. So please do patronize such stalwarts as Gold Coast, where the locally-roasted organic coffee beans are delicious, along with delectable baked goods and Cape Fear Café featuring tasty New Orleans/California food, with a very friendly atmosphere. Both the Duncans Mills and Cazadero, our General Stores always have a good assortment of daily grocery needs and locally produced foods and body-care items. Our small communities rely upon these general stores which truly supply what we NEED!

The regular meetings of the Cazadero Community Club resume on Tuesday, March 5th-7 p.m. at Firehall #1. Please join your neighbors in planning events which benefit the entire community! Contact Cathy regarding participating in the lovely Sky Garden at schezer@comcast.net
