Cazadero Communications by Natasha Pehrson - August 2017

Very blue skies and warm temperatures continue here in the mighty redwoods. Outside of my airy cyber hut barely a leaf flutters.

The Cazadero Community Club is currently focusing on their biggest fund-raising event, the fabulous Old Time BBQ, to be held on Sunday, September 3rd, from 12-5 p.m. at the Cazadero Performing Arts Camp. Many volunteers are needed to present this quintessential Cazadero celebration, which was begun in 1979 and has always featured the participation of the Cazadero Volunteer Fire Department and the Community Club. Expect a great NY steak and chicken BBQ, with all the fixins’, dedicated ‘Chinese Auction’ with many fabulous locally-donated prizes, Bingo, horseshoes, children’s games and beer and wine sold by the Cazadero Volunteer Fire Department. Great pie baking contest and more! Please contact Susan Moll at 632-6902 to enter! Last BBQ there were 30 pies entered! Luscious desserts, including most contest pies, will be offered by the Cazadero Community Church. You may buy pre-event tickets(requested) at the Cazadero and Duncans Mills general stores. Join the Caz Club in planning wonderful events which benefit the entire community. The next Club Meeting will be on Tuesday, August 1st-7 p.m. at Firehall #1.
