This event donates thousands of dollars to show the love for our Non-Profits throughout our coastal community. Want to build a wooden boat? Watch a Boat Parade to bless our fishing fleet? CSZ - SUBDUCTION ZONE LOVE? IMPACT TO BODEGA BAY? ARE YOU READY? This is a must not miss meeting. Join Bodega Bay CERT on Monday, February 10, 2020 at the Fire Station to learn why there is no love for the Cascadia Subduction Zone major impact if it pops. It can generate a much more powerful earthquake and tsunami than the San Andreas fault. Scientists say it is PAST DUE… Do you know about it? HOW’S THE FISHING? Dick Ogg, our local famous and loved Bodega Bay Fisherman shares some insights!

A large number of boats, including his are bringing in their crab gear and looking at other fisheries. That’s not to say everyone, but a fairly large number. Many of the Bodega Bay fisherman are continuing to crab although the production has dropped off dramatically. Many will try to fish to as close to the beginning of Salmon as possible or is economically feasible. Dick will switch to Black Cod fishing until the Salmon season starts. Our fingers are crossed for a good Salmon season.

BODEGA BAY GRANGE CIOPPINO FEED WAS A SOLD-OUT SUCCESS! Were you one of the lucky ones to get a ticket to the best Cioppino Feed in Sonoma County? After spending most of her career relocating corporate employees around the world, she began two successful family businesses in the coastal town of Bodega Bay, California with her daughter Alicia and her husband Paul. Patty has been coming to Bodega Bay her entire life and moved to the coastal town 12 years ago.

Patty is Vice President of Waves of Compassion Foundation, offering the first food pantry for the coastal community; Director for Bodega Bay CERT, helping Bodega Bay be prepared for a local disaster & Director for Bodega Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, assisting local businesses manage the unique coastal business environment. She began the Bodega Bay Collaborative, a group dedicated to providing information to the residents of Bodega Bay on the opportunities and challenges in their beloved village. Patty currently is serving as an appointee of Supervisor Hopkins on the Sonoma County Tourism Board of Directors. She was recognized by the Sonoma County Tourism Board with the Hospitality of the Year 2018 award for her leadership role during the 2017 Firestorm, as well as by Congressman Mike Thompson and Supervisor, Susan Gorin. She was also the recipient of the 2020 Community Member of the year award from Bodega Bay Fire Protection District. Patty was selected for the North Bay Spirit Award from the Press Democrat.

Patty enjoys hiking the Sonoma Coast, many times leading the hike offering bits of history with the goal that others will love & respect the coast as much as she does.
