Astrology: Pluto to bring the foundational transformation America needs

Pluto represents the energy of transformation. It can focus on the lowest elements of human nature such as lust, betrayal, manipulative secrecy and unbridled power. As an agent of transformation, it can also provide a process whereby we can eliminate those behavioral patterns and elevate our consciousness. Ultimately, by letting go of the lower patterns we can use this process to realize our potential to understand and embody universal laws. As such we can begin to understand the nature of reality.

Pluto is the slowest of all the planets in our solar system, taking approximately 248 years to complete one cycle. In the horoscope of the United States that most modern astrologers use Pluto will return to the point it occupied in 1776, our nationā€™s founding, in 2022-2023. However, it has been very close to that point this year and will continue to be until 2024. In that chart Pluto is located in the Second House, the one that pertains to financial security. Hence, it has been projected that the Pluto return will transform our banking system or the value of the dollar itself. All of which could come to pass. The Second House, however, pertains to more than just money. It also has to do with values; what we as a nation find to be the most meaningful qualities. According to the Declaration of Independence, all men are created equal. We have the right to pursue life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. So far so good. But the Constitution allowed only white, property owning men to vote. Thus this was a flawed document. Over time the Constitution has evolved. Everyone now has the right to vote and, theoretically at least, pursue meaning and security in life.

Could the current US Pluto return bring about a transformation that involves more than the banking industry and our currency? It seems to me that it not only could, but that it is. Our country is currently grappling with issues of voting, who gets to, how the votes are counted and who certifies the election as valid. Itā€™s as if certain forces and factions are trying to put the evolved Constitution back in a smaller box. Democracy is based on fair elections, not those that are controlled behind the scenes or that manipulate the result. Without fair elections, in which everyone gets to vote and all votes are counted, we will cease to have a democracy.

The challenge that we face at this time is how are we going to create and experience the first Pluto return in US history? Transformation can imply death and rebirth. Does the Pluto return imply death of our democracy? If so, is it replaced by something more authoritarian? More dystopian? Or a better, more evolved version of itself? Will secret sources of power, both financial and political, manipulate the system so that certain factions are limited or eliminated from freely pursuing life, liberty and happiness? Will the very ideals upon which this nation was founded be betrayed? There is a clear and present danger that that not only could happen but is already starting to happen. Conspiracy theories are replacing objective facts and the truths that they reveal. These theories pertain to everything from stolen elections to how firestorms are generated.

Alternatively, we could strive to continue the evolution of the Constitution to ensure that our foundersā€™ ideals are preserved. In that scenario we continue as a beacon of freedom, showing the world that government of, by and for the people is not only a great concept, but also a real, attainable goal. For this option to work, however, we must be vigilant. We need to call out those who seek to undermine our fundamental values, who seek to replace the concept of one person one vote with the drive for unbridled power. Do we the people want unbridled greed and wealth to dismantle the fabric of freedom that we hold as a priority?

The next few years will be extremely challenging for the United States. The good news is that we, the people, still have our rights and our freedoms. Letā€™s work together to continue to own them and work to evolve the system so that at this time of major transformation, we remain committed to creating an ever more perfect union and establish and ensure domestic tranquility for all.
