Santa Rosa Symphony Realizes 13th Consecutive Record-Setting Year

Final audited figures confirm that the Santa Rosa Symphony (SRS), for the thirteenth consecutive fiscal year (ending June 30, 2016), finished in the black, realizing record-level ticket sales and donations, contributing to $4 million gross revenues. Estate donations from long-time symphony supporters helped raise the endowment to exceed $11 million for the first time and brought total assets to a record level of $17,110,628.

Organizational highlights this year included:

• Most successful fundraising event in our 13 year gala history

• Record ticket sales for Family Concert Series

• Record high Foundation and Government grants

• A 2016 Merit Award for Cultural Enrichment from the City of Santa Rosa for the Simply Strings program

• Enrollment and revenue goals exceeded for SRS’ four youth ensemble orchestras

• Digital preservation of more than 35 years of Music Director Emeritus Corrick Brown’s 280 concerts

• Endowment fund value exceeded $11 million for the first time

• Ended fiscal year in the black for the thirteenth consecutive year (with an operating surplus of $205,621 for fiscal year ending June 30, 2016)
