Snoopy’s Home Ice presents Ice Dance International

Snoopy’s Home Ice proudly presents Ice Dance International in their only West Coast performance of ICE/DANCE: 2016, an ice show on October 15 overflowing with energy, technique and exuberant choreography.

Ice Dance International (IDI) creates classical and contemporary ice dance ballet with a professional company of nationally and internationally acclaimed skaters.  IDI embraces the worlds of both ice dance and ballet and their premiere national tour will thrill skating and dance fans alike.  ICE/DANCE: 2016 will feature works by ballet great, Edward Villella and founding Artistic Director Douglas Webster

Edward Villella has been recognized as the greatest male ballet dancer ever produced in America and has received nearly every important honor given to artists in the United States. Mr. Villella was the first American male dancer to perform with the Royal Danish Ballet, and the only American ever to be asked to dance an encore at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow.

Douglas Webster has been involved in figure skating since he grew up in North Conway, NH and trained in Augusta, Maine and Fairfax, VA when he was in his early teens. Before founding IDI Douglas worked with all the major skating companies in the world, and over the course of twenty years has developed a large body of body of repertory works. He has collaborated with Edward Villella on ice ballets for four years and in addition to his current work with IDI, Douglas serves as the Creative Director for ABC TV’s “Shall We Dance on Ice” and serves on the board of “Young Artists Showcase” and the staff of “Grassroots to Champions.”

IDI’s company of professional skaters includes U.S. Olympian Beata Hendra, two-time U.S. Bronze Medalists Kim Navarro & Brent Bommentre plus Wesley Cambell, Joel Dear, Carly Donowick, Jonathon Hunt, Ian Lorello, Anastasia Olson, and Erin Reed.
