Sonoma County Community Separators Public Hearing July 19

The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors will review and finalize the community separators renewal and expansion on Tuesday, July 19. They are xpected to vote on the outstanding new community separator renewal and additons. If you wish to attend and show your support, please come to 575 Administration Drive, Santa Rosa, the TIME of the hearing has not been set at this dat (July 1, 2016) Please see  the B of S CALENDAR for the TIME at http://sonomacounty.ca.gov/Board-of-Supervisors/Board-Meetings/

Sonoma County’s community separator renewal and expansion will extend voter protections for another 30 years and protect as many as 41,000 additional acres of green buffers and farm lands from subdivision and sprawl – in addition to the existing 17,000 acres.

See the full proposal and maps here: http://www.sonoma-county.org/prmd/docs/community_separators/index.htm

They included most everything we asked for: Cloverdale Healdsburg, Penngrove area, Sebastopol dairy lands, Sonoma Developmental Center lands, priority greenbelts, delinking from UGBs, groundwater protection language . . . it’s exceeded expectations!

Please join us at the public hearing and help us get 50 people there to wear stickers and speak up for community separators like we did last year! We may have opposition from the usual suspects, so we need to be seen and heard!
