Vacation Home in Vacation Wonderland!

There are a lot of events coming up in Monte Rio!

On Sunday May 29th (Memorial Day Weekend) the Russian River Alliance will hold their 4th Annual Russian River Memorial Weekend Festival to kick off the summer season 2-4pm at the Rio Theater grounds overlooking the river. This year Carl Green Music will perform. Food and beer will be available. Come down, support your community Alliance, as well as the Rio Take 2 Café and Rio Theater. Russian River Alliance now comprises both the Monte Rio Community Alliance and Guerneville Community Alliance.

Sonoma County Pride will be bigger and better than ever this year. June 5th is the Parade and Celebration. Pride events will occur from Thursday through Sunday. Thursday, Out Watch Film Fest will be presenting an exciting line up of LGBT shorts at the Rio Theater.

Pride has some great grand marshals this year, including Sister Beatrix Uppersleeve, Chris Brokate with Clean River Alliance, and Neal Gottlieb, co-founder of Three Twins Ice Cream, recent Survivor contestant, and strong LGBT ally on the national and international fronts. Come support the people that have done so much for our community. You can also win a raffle for two round-trip airline tickets for anywhere Alaska Airlines flies.
