CMedia Seeks “New Media-minded” Board Members

CMedia, the rebranded and renewed Community Media Center of the North Bay, is seeking local board members to guide the expansion of “New Media” and lead local community access television into the future.

CMedia board seeks applications from community members interested in becoming a part of this award-winning nonprofit  organization as it moves into the future. They’re looking for innovative, creative, enthusiastic individuals to join them, who represent the diversity of the community in every regard.

“Any local persons interested in promoting media literacy and technological savvy in our region are invited to contact us,” states CMedia board treasurer Marlowe Allenbright.  

CMedia Board responsibilities include the creation and refinement of policies and procedures, development, funding and implementation of long and short range strategic plans and oversight of corporate affairs.

Completed nomination forms are due by 5 p.m., Friday, May 13, at the CMedia office. Ballots for the election will be mailed May 27, 2016 to CMedia members of record on May 25, 2016. Board Election Voting ends June 21, 2016 at 12 p.m.  

New board members will be announced at the CMedia Annual Member Meeting, 5pm, Tuesday June 21, 2016 at CMedia 1075 Mendocino Ave. Santa Rosa, CA 95401.

CMedia is a non-profit organization that provides media production services to North Bay residents, non-profit organizations, educators, and local government departments including: Low-cost training for youth and adults, equipment and facility use, community cable channel access, event and meeting coverage, and custom productions. CMedia channels offer non-commercial programming by, for, and about the people of Sonoma County and adjacent counties.
