The 59th San Francisco International Fim Festival continues with the premiere of “Indignation” starring Logan Lerman. It plays at the Victoria Theater on Saturday, April 30 at 8pm. On Thursday, May 5th is the closing night film, “The Bandit”. If you love 1970’s pop culture and Burt Reynolds, this is a must see!

This is a great time to go to the movie theater to see movies. This weekend, “Mother’s Day” opens starring Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston and Kate Hudson. A perfect film for the whole family. The busy Julia Roberts also stars in “Money Monster” with George Clooney opening May 13th. On May 6th, the long awaited “Captain America: Civil War” opens starring Chris Evans and the very talented Robert Downey Jr. On May 27th two huge sequals arrive: “X-Men: Apocalypse” and “Alice Through the Looking Glass”. And that’s just the beginning of the Summer Movie Season!

Local theater this month include Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” at Spreckels. Take an enchanting trip under the sea with everyone’s favorite mermaid princess and her crabby sidekick Sebastian as they battle the evil sea witch Ursula and win the heart of the human prince Eric.  6th Street Playhouse presents the much loved “My Fair Lady” by Lerner & Loewe. It’s the musical by which all others are measured! Popular songs include “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?” and “I Could Have Danced All Night”. The show runs May 6th through June 5th. 6Th Street Playhouse is located at 52 W. 6th Street Santa Rosa Ca 95401. Main Stage West presents “Bob: A Life in Five Acts” directed by the immensely talented Sheri Lee Miller. This show chronicles the highly unusual life of Bob and his lifelong quest to become a Great Man. The show runs May 6th through May 22nd. Main Stage West is located at 104 N.
