Sonoma County Supervisor Candidate Forums

Voters who would like to know more about the candidates in the upcoming Sonoma County Supervisor races will be able to submit questions, listen to candidates define who they are, and what they hope to achieve. Please let us know of additional forums at

Apr 25 ~ First District County Supervisor Candidate Forum ~ Gina Cuclis, Keith Rhinehart, Susan Gorin. 6:30 pm at Andrews hall, Sonoma Community Center, 276 east Napa Street, Sonoma. Sponsored by the Sonoma Index-Tribune.

Apr 27 ~ Candidates of for the 5th district (west county) race will be present to speak and answer questions from the public.  6:30 pm at the Graton Community Clubhouse, 8996 Graton Road in Graton and is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Sonoma County and Graton Community Projects.  The candidates are: Marion Chase, Noreen Evans, Lynda Hopkins, Tom Lynch, and Timothy Sergent. Apr 28 ~ Sonoma Supervisor Candidate Forum ~ The Sonoma County Lodging Association will host a County Supervisor candidate forum Thursday, April 28 at the Flamingo Conference Resort & Spa starting at 3 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Candidates running for the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors in the first, third and fifth districts will attend. Mike Reilly, retired County Supervisor District 5, will moderate the forum, asking questions pertinent to the lodging and tourism industry and general business environment in Sonoma County. 2777 4th St, Santa Rosa Sponsored by the  Sonoma County Lodging Association.

Apr 28 ~ 5th District Supervisor Candidates Forum ~ Candidates will present opening and closing statements, and will respond to questions from the community that have not been provided in advance. May 5 ~ SOS Roads ~ Road Summit and Candidates’ Forum 4:30-6:00 PM at Hessel Grange, 5400 Blank Road, Sebastopol. The free event will feature candidates vying to replace outgoing Fifth District Supervisor Efren Carrillo. This is an opportunity for road users to ask questions and express concerns about the The 5th District candidates are: Lynda Hopkins, Noreen Evans, Tom Lynch, Tim Sergent,, Marion Chase.

May 6 ~ Candidates Forum ~ Meet the Candidates. Hosted by the Monte Rio Recreation and Parks District. Doors open at 6. Forum begins at 6:3.  Individuals wishing to ask a question of the Candidates will be asked to provide their name on a card that will be drawn at random during the second part of the event. The first part of the event will invite local community groups to ask a single question that concerns their mission as well as one follow up question. May 12 ~ Voters in the 1st district (Sonoma Valley) will be interested in another interactive forum held on May 12, 7 PM at Sonoma Charter School, 17202 Sonoma Highway, Sonoma. This forum, co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters Sonoma County and Springs Community Alliance, features candidates Gina Cuclis, Susan Gorin, and Keith Rinehart.  FREE and open to the public. May 12 ~ 5th District Bilingual Candidate Forum for Latino Voters ~ offers a chance to learn about positions candidates have on issues important to the Latino community. Moderated by Ricardo Ibarra, editor of LePrensa Sonoma and Paul Gullixon, editor of the Press Democrat. Discussions will be in both Spanish and English. Registrar of Voters will be present to register new voters. 5:30 pm Roseland Village Community Center, 777 Sebastopol Road
