Sonoma County Storm Road Closures 3-11-16 @ 3pm

Crews are currently on-site at the slide on Occidental with PG&E, CHP and a tree contractor. PG&E is in the process of shutting down power then will remove their lines so our crews can begin to safely remove the trees and slide. It is estimated the road will remain closed for several hours this afternoon and evening. Other utility lines are involved as well. Traffic can use Cherry Ridge Rd to Mill Station and Green Hill Rd to Graton Rd as alternate routes.

Crews have completed slide and tree removal work on Summerhome Park Rd and the road is now open to traffic at that location. PG&E has a crew further in on Summerhome Park Rd repairing power lines, and are operating one lane traffic controls. There remains several road closed at this time due to flooding – and weather reports are forecasting two more minor storms to hit our region this weekend. The Russian River is forecast to peak at 25.5 feet in Guerneville later tonight and tomorrow morning, well below the 32 foot flood stage. Crews will be dispatched as needed throughout the weekend to handle road emergencies.
