Santa Rosa offers FREE Low Flush Toilets

Free Installation of Water Saving Toilets, Spray Valves, and More for Santa Rosa Water Customers

While supplies last, Santa Rosa Water is offering to replace up to two toilets, showerheads, and faucet aerators in your home with ultra-high efficient models at no cost.  To be eligible you must be a residential Santa Rosa Water customer and the toilet(s) being replaced must be 1.6 gallons per flush or higher.  In addition, food service businesses and restaurants are eligible to receive up to four pre-rinse spray valves installed at no cost.  To get started, visit srcity.org/FreeToilets or srcity.org/SprayValve and pick a licensed plumber of your choice from our approved list.

This new program is funded by a $2.5 million grant from the California Department of Water Resources.  The grant funds will be used to purchase and install 5,500 ultra-high efficient toilet packages for eligible residential customers and 250 pre-rinse spray valves for eligible food service businesses and restaurants. The free plumbing fixtures will be installed by qualified licensed plumbing contractors at no cost. Participating residents will save approximately 1,000 gallons of water per month. On average, food service businesses and restaurants will save 2,900 gallons of water per month.

“We are really excited to offer this program to our customers,” said David Guhin, Director of Santa Rosa Water. “Our customers are doing everything they can to reduce their water use as a result of the drought. And it is our job to do everything we can to provide them with low and no cost solutions to save water. This program will assist customers in making permanent reductions in their water use and see the savings on their water bills.”

Supplies are limited and demand is high, so don’t delay! It’s easy, just pick a participating plumbing contractor. To get started visit our website for the list of qualified participating plumbers for residential toilets (www.srcity.org/FreeToilets) and commercial pre-rinse spray valves (www.srcity.org/SprayValve).
