Dog and Cat Adoptions for $25 during July

Through July 31st, 2012, dogs and cats, 2 months and older, at Sonoma County Animal Shelter will be available for only $25.00, plus the cost of a license if applicable. 

“From terrific Terriers to cuddling Calicos, you’re sure to find the pet you’ve been looking for,” says Cathy McCafferty, shelter supervisor.

The reduced adoption fee includes an examination by a veterinarian, vaccinations, spay or neuter surgery, flea treatment, de-worming, leukemia and/or feline immunodeficiency virus tested (cats), microchip, slip leash (dogs), carry box (cats). Sonoma County Animal Care and Control is open Tuesday through Saturday, noon-5:30 p.m. Their mission is to protect the health and safety of people and animals, investigate and prosecute animal cruelty, abuse and neglect cases, educate the public about responsible domestic animal ownership, reduce pet overpopulation through spay/neuter programs, provide a safe environment for animals in need and place adoptable animals into caring homes.
