2015 Holiday Toy and Food Drives

The holidays can be an especially difficult time for individuals and families who may not have the resources available to them in order to purchase gifts for loved ones. Additionally, putting food on the table for a holiday meal can be a challenge for many.

To help those in need, many buisnesses and organizations are putting together Toy and Food Drives throughout Sonoma County. A list is below and will be updated as soon as additional information becomes available.

If you are able, consider making a donation or two. We may not know the faces of those individuals and families who will receive these donations this year. But what we CAN do is visualize the smiles that those faces may reveal as a gift is opened or a warm meal eaten. Let's do our part.

After all, we ARE neighbors.

Food and Toy Drives for the Holidays

Volunteers Needed ~ On Tuesday, December 22, the City of Cotati is co-sponsoring a food drive with the California Homemakers Association. Volunteers are invited to assist in assembling and delivering food boxes for those in need in Cotati and throughout the county. For details and to volunteer contact the California Homemakers Association at 707-591-9572.

Graton Day Labor Center Toy Drive: In 2014, the Center launched the holiday toy drive and raised over $4,000 which provided 90 of their member’s children (ages 0-18) with a quality gift or gift card of approximately $40 in value. The gifts were presented by Santa Claus at a holiday feast attended by many of the children. In 2015, our goal is to raise $5,000 so that we can increase the value of each gift or gift card to $50 (90 children) and cover the costs of the catered feast. You may send your donation via check or make an online donation at gratondaylabor.org. Please specify that you would like your donation directed towards this effort. See the attached flyer for more info.
