The winter months are an exciting time at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts. Showing until November 28th is a biennial exhibition called, FiberArts VII. This juried show is a distinct approach to innovative and traditional fiber techniques, and contemporary concepts for the use of traditional and unusual materials.


October 30, 2 pm, David Williams, one of the world’s leading expert on Egyptian Children’s Tapestries brings fine examples to share and introduces us to the revolutionary philosophy of Ramses Wissa Wassef; Egyptian potter, architect and freethinker was passionate about the need for creative expression in the human experience. His small experimental weaving project with children in the village became of interest to the world. The amazing tapestries will be displayed in Sonoma Museum from September 12 to December 6. ($10 admission)

Sat. Nov. 21 and Sun Nov. 22, 1-4 pm, Weaving demonstration by the Redwood Guild of Fiber Arts. Watercolors Galore at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts In January 2016

January 8 - February 7, 2016, The 148th Annual International Exhibition of the American Watercolor Society and the SCA Water Media Exhibition. More than 1,200 artists from throughout the United States and 27 foreign countries submitted their work to a panel of jurors; Signature Members of the AWS.
