Sonoma County RESOURCES for Parents

Sonoma County RESOURCES for Parents

Parents Place:

• Triple P Positive Parenting Programs (for parents of children of all ages and schools who wish to host Groups and Seminars)

Parents Place offers groups, workshops, and individual parent education services using this highly successful, internationally recognized parent education program. At Parents Place we partner with schools to bring Triple P services to their families. If the school brings the families, we’ll bring the rest (parent education, parent support, tips and tools, etc.) Parents will learn positive ways to promote their child’s development, handle challenging behavior, and practice self-care. This service is free for individual parents and groups of parents of children under 6 who are not in kindergarten (funded by Sonoma County First 5 and Sonoma County Behavioral Health with MHSA-PEI funds.) For parents of older children we offer the same services for a fee. For details contact Liana Unger, Parents Place Coordinator: 707-303-1521;

• Consultation and Coaching (for parents with children of all ages)

Needing a little support? Whether you need support just once or several times, our promise is that at the end of each consultation and coaching visit, you will walk away feeling validated, with useful tools, information and strategies that are immediately helpful in addressing your parenting concerns. Our skilled professionals offer a range of concrete strategies and suggestions that are based on years of experience and work in the field.
