Host families needed for Exchange Students in Sonoma County

Host families needed for Exchange Students in Sonoma County

My name is Shaun Vice, Regional Director here in Northern California for a non-profit high school foreign exchange student organization called CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange).

We are looking for Host Families for HIGH-SCHOOL-AGED students we have coming for the 2015-2016 school year. We accept all kinds of families (kids, no kids, empty nesters, single parents, same-sex couples, etc.)  Our students have the appropriate visa, medical insurance and pay for all of their own personal expenses.  All that is required of a host family is to provide a bed and an extra plate at the table!  My Local Coordinator is located in your area to offer hands on support throughout journey hosting one of our students. We also have 24/7 support for our students during their stay.

We are looking for GOOD families with whom they can live for the school year.  A “Welcome Family (6-8 wks), 1 or 2 semester commitment is also greatly appreciated which allows the student and our staff to arrange their travel plans and enroll in school here to get started with their dream to study in the USA!   Although they don’t arrive until August, we are securing their placement with their American family as soon as possible so that they have some time to get to know each other a bit before they arrive.

Here are some “blurbs” about some of our students:
