Upstairs Gallery - Healdsburg

Celebrates 18th Anniversary

The best kept secret in Healdsburg is a secret no more! This June ushers in the 18th anniversary of Upstairs Art Gallery, the oldest gallery in Healdsburg.

In 1997 a group of artists seeking an opportunity to exhibit their work secured a space on the mezzanine level of Levin & Co. bookstore at 306 Center St. on the historic Healdsburg town square. On Saturday, June 27th the gallery invites the public to join them for a day long anniversary celebration. Cake and beverages will be served. Gallery hours on Saturday are 11 AM to 9 PM.

Operated by the artists themselves, today the gallery consists of 15 highly respected local painters, plus one jeweler, and provides the public with a continuous rotation of fresh work in a variety of painting styles and mediums. Visitors have always enjoyed the unique opportunity to interact with professional working artists in a beautiful and friendly setting. The gallery also offers a wide selection of decorative and functional fine art crafts by locally established craftspeople. Jewelry, fused glass, ceramics and metal work are featured.

The gallery maintains a large store front display window where each month a different artist is featured.

While other galleries have come and gone, Upstairs Art Gallery has survived the test of time and down economies. That little gallery on the mezzanine of Levin & Co. bookstore is no longer a secret. It has earned an esteemed reputation as one of the best fine art galleries of the region.
