Windsor Day Parade celebrates “Heritage Days”, May 9th

The Kiwanis Club of Windsor presents this hometown Parade that starts at the Windsor High School and travels around the Old Downtown area from 10 am to Noon.

Visit the Windsor Farmers Market on Mother’s Day, May 10th 

The Windsor Farmers Market is hosting their 3rd Annual Mother’s Day Tea and Cookie Tasting on Sunday, May 10th. The Market is open from 10-1 pm and the Tea Tasting begins at 11. This isn’t your traditional English Tea Party. The Tokugawa Family from The Taste of Tea Room in Healdsburg are tea docents from Japan. They will be holding a modern Asian Tea Tasting with special blends created just for the day and a demonstration filled with interesting tea education. All the Market bakeries will be making special Tea Cookies to go with the wonderful tea blends. Taste cookies from Cookie...take a bite!, Flour Creations, Raymond’s Bakery, Costeaux’s French Bakery and BurtoNZ Bakery. The best thing of all, this is a FREE event. Atrellis Flowers & Gifts will be handing out a free rose to the first 50 Moms. Come viist for a day filled with Moms and Memories.

Runners flood Windsor on Sunday, May 17th

The 33rd Annual Windsor Green Half Marathon takes off from the Windsor Town Green on Sunday, May 17th. The first runners leave at 7:30 am straight down the middle of Market St., it is quite a site. The race includes a half marathon, 10k and a 5k. The courses take them all over the Windsor countryside and along the winding Russian River. Register to run, become a volunteer or find out more about being a sponsor at runwinecountry.com.

Learn Floral Design with the Windsor Garden Club

... at their Garden Seminar & Social the 3rd Tuesday of each month. On May 19th at 6:30 pm, Learn floral design techniques from a local expert. This is the perfect time to hone your skills, the Garden Club has partnered with the Windsor Arts Council and added a Flower Show to the Fine Art Show scheduled for June 5-7 in the Huerta Gym. Entries will be accepted from all Windsor Area flower lovers.

Farming and Food Fun at Kidz Day on the Farm, May 24th 

The Windsor Farmers Market takes kids back to the farm with the 2nd Annual “Kidz Day on the Farm”, from 10-1 pm, Sunday, May 24th. This event is especially for kids, where they get a chance to play with their food and discover where their food comes from with hands-on farming and planting fun with local farmers and the Windsor Garden Club. Kids make Sweet Potato Pancakes at the Kidz Dig It Cooking Class at 11:00 am in the East Pavilion. Lego Barn Building Contest by The Brick Hut of Santa Rosa and come pedal yourself a fruit smoothy with the Bike Blenders from the Sonoma County Safe Bicycle Coalition. Live Music & Sing-a-longs with local youth performers.
