Sonoma County Farm Trails - Blossoms, Bees and Barnyard Babies

Sonoma County Farm Trails - Blossoms, Bees and Barnyard Babies

Celebrate spring and the area’s rich agricultural heritage with Sonoma County Farm Trails this May with two great events.

May 2nd and 3rd, Blossoms, Bees & Barnyard Babies are back after a four-year hiatus. Milk a goat, pet a chicken, stroll through an orchard in bloom, taste farm-fresh food at its source, and get a behind-the-scenes peek at life on the farm at over 24 participating locations throughout Sonoma County.  The family-friendly, self-guided event is free, as are most stops. Guests are asked to RSVP via Brown Paper Tickets. Itinerary and maps will be sent to guests as soon as they are finalized. Farm gates and barn doors will be open from 10am to 4pm each day. Some farms will only be open one day during the weekend, so be sure to check the website for updates. Don’t forget to pack a cooler to keep your purchases fresh.

On May 30th, Dutton Ranch in Sebastopol will host the 3rd annual BBQ, Brews & BarnDance from 5:30pm to 10pm. Talk about fun! After the cheese and brews reception and locally sourced meal prepared by Chef Daniel Kedan and Marianna Gardenhire of Backyard, there will be a silent auction, bonfire and good old-fashioned foot stompin’ to the music of the Cahoots, a Sonoma County favorite.  Tickets are $75 and are available at Brown Paper Tickets. Proceeds from the BarnDance will help to produce the 42nd Annual Gravenstein Apple Fair.

See the Farm Trails website at for more information about either event or contact them at or (707) 837-8896.
