Praxis Peace Institute Celebrates 15 years and Honors Lynn Woolsey

Praxis Peace Institute Celebrates 15 years
& Honors Lynn Woolsey

Last October, Praxis Peace Institute convened a 3-day conference ("The Economics of Sustainability") in San Francisco. The purpose of this gathering was to explore both causes and solutions to the climate crisis. Though we examined systemic patterns that resist solutions to climate change, we also presented practical solutions that show the way to 100 percent renewable energy sources by 2050 and 80% by 2030.

A vision of the possible is critical and is the reason why we have invited Randy Hayes and Andrew Kimbrell to keynote our 15th anniversary celebration in Sonoma. In addition to presenting models for sustainability, they will show how concerned citizens can form successful campaigns to mitigate the impact of climate change. Hayes and Kimbrell have been at the forefront of the environmental movement for decades and understand that systemic changes must take place in economics, politics and culture if the human race is to thrive beyond the mid century mark.
