Gravenstein Apple Fair 2013 ~ Sebastopol, CAAug 9 & 10 ~ Gravenstein Apple Fair ~ Join us for a weekend of old-fashioned fun. Live music on 2 stages, arts & crafts vendors, excellent local food, wine, cider & beer, contests & activities, children’s corner, chef’s tent, artisan cheese tent, do-it-yourself tent, life on the farm arena and of course our famous heirloom gravenstein apples. Starts at 10am both days - ends at 6pm Saturday and 5pm Sunday. Aug 23 ~ Russian River Car Show ~ from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., sponsoredby the Friends of Monte Rio at the big parking lot across from the Rio Theater.  The day’s activities get started at 7:00 a.m. with a pancake breakfast at the Community Center.

Aug 23 ~ Taste of Petaluma ~ 11:30a - 9p throughout Petaluma. Benefits Cinnabar Theater, keeping alive professional performing arts right here in Sonoma County. $40 tickets available online at or at Cinnabar Theater, Gallery One, Velvet Ice Collections and Blush Collections, or on the day of the event at Putnam Plaza (129 Petaluma Blvd. N.).

Aug 23 ~ Bodega Seafood, Art & Wine Festival ~ 3 stages of entertainment: Lost Dog Found, Patron, Lydia Pense and Cold Blood, The Sun Kings and Pride & Joy. The Wine Stage features more eclectic acts such as Joe Craven with Mamajowali, Montana Skies and Incendio. And the Entertainment Stage brings back festival favorite Captain Jack Spareribs, as well as quirky cowgirl Karen Quest, and San Francisco juggler Daniel Da Vinci. NEW THIS YEAR!! Saturday night August 23rd, the festival will have its first ever night concert! Featuring blues legend Robben Ford, and opening will be Eric Lindell. Festival hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 24.  Admission is $12 in advance for adults and free for children under 12.  Watts Ranch is located at 16855 Bodega Highway in the village of Bodega.  For additional info, go to

Aug 29-31 ~ Sonoma Wine Country Weekend ~ “Fund the Future” to help Sonoma County increase the third grade literacy rate to 90% by 2018. Sonoma County’s inimitable weekend celebrating the region’s grape growers, winemakers, and chefs, will take place over Labor Day Weekend. Events take place throughout Sonoma County, America’s leading wine and food region, where the winemakers, chefs, and food producers ply their respective crafts, resulting in an intimate and direct connection with guests offered at no other wine event. Broadway Under the Stars ~ More than just a standard musical review, each concert weaves your favorite Broadway and popular songs into a spectacular evening unlike anything you’ve seen before. A portion of every ticket is given to benefit Jack London State Park and the success of these concerts plays a vital role in the sustaining of the threatened park for generations to come.
