The Jewelry Project is an effort of just one small act of kindness by Santa Rosa residents and County Employees Lori Cavanaugh and Devlin Martinsen. When a small post was made on the Sonoma County Fires- County of Sonoma Employee Needs Exchange Facebook Page of just a few photos of some jewelry laying around in the jewelry box, no longer being warn. Soon after the post, it was realized that the request might exceeded the supply. A call for help to family and friends, and soon donations were coming in from all over the country. Yes, "Country" no typo there. In addition to friends from this beautiful County all things jewelry starting arriving in bags, boxes and in person. Donations as far as PA, MD, OH, CO, SD, VA and WI arrived before the holiday season. The project is looking to connect with anyone who has been affected or anyone who knows someone who was affected. Photos are posted on the Sonoma County Fires - Employee Needs Exchange and our personal page Devs Revs. Anyone can personal message me. Its that easy. Just a PM and the process goes from there. Lori will work with you on your selections and delivery or pick up. If you are a county employee and work at the county complex, pick up can be arranged during lunch hour. Devlin is the delivery pick up contact person right at the county center. If you are not a county employee or you work at a remote location don't worry, you are not excluded. The project is not limited to county employees and pick up/delivery can be arranged. We have been able to mail small items directly to survivors with great success.
A big Thank you to everyone who has donated, you have brought smiles to many.
