Canine Companions International Dinner at the Petaluma Elks Lodge

On October 14th a demonstration by Canine Companions International was held at the Petaluma Elks Lodge Elks National Foundation dinner. Steven and Sonia Magnuson gave a talk on how canine companions finds the dogs for the program and trains the dogs to become companions. Than a demonstration was performed to show how the dogs help their owners in everyday life.

Elks National Foundation is a an opertunity for Elks lodges in the community to apply for grants to help groups like Canine Companions continue their mission in the community. Community investment grant applications are avaibalbe at Elks.Org. The E.N.F. is able to help build stronger communities thanks to contributions from our generous donors. Since inception, E.N.F. has received more than $243.3 million in contributions and bequests. Today Elks E.N.F. boasts more than 100,000 active donors and an endowment fund valued at $597.9 million.
