SRJC to Host Adjunct Facility Recruitment Open House

Whether they work in high tech, teach at a high school, or have their own business, people from a wide range of backgrounds find teaching part-time at the college level stimulating and satisfying. SRJC is looking for adjunct (part-time) faculty in many fields including math, chemistry and English to meet student demands, so the college is hosting its first-ever open house to recruit new adjunct faculty. The event takes place on November 1, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., in the Lawrence A. Bertolini Student Center at SRJC’s Santa Rosa campus. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear remarks by, and meet, SRJC’s Superintendent/President Dr. Frank Chong, hear a panel discussion followed by a question and answer session, and enjoy a reception with refreshments.

The free event will provide guests the opportunity to explore teaching possibilities at SRJC, meet faculty and administrators, and become familiar with the hiring process. Industry leaders, working professionals, recent college graduates, high school and college instructors, professors, and tutors are all encouraged to join.

The open house provides an opportunity for SRJC to continue to help support the College’s Equal Employment Opportunity Advisory Committee (EEOAC) goals of broadening outreach and diversifying faculty and staff. The college recently was awarded $60,000 for meeting EEOAC requirements by the California Community College’s Chancellor’s Office.

SRJC currently has an immediate need for the following disciplines:
