Locals Win Big at Sacramento Table Tennis Open

Members of Coach Alan Gulick’s North Bay Table Tennis brought home 3 trophies and a Bronze medal from the Summer Sacramento Open.

14-yr-old David Gonzales won First Place and Second Place in the U750 and U900 Divisions. Said David, “This was redemption from the last tournament”, where he didn’t fare quite as well. Kayla Hobbs won the Bronze. “She is highly competitive, has improved very quickly, and brings great vibes with her,” says Coach Gulick who captured First Place in the U1650 division against 37 tough entrants.

Competitors were cheered on by a dozen Academy members who drove to Sacramento to play or just lend support. “I’m really happy I went” exclaimed Primary School teacher Alix Geller of Forestville. “The level of play was astounding, especially the kids.”
