Women's Global Leadership R.U.N. Forum
Saturday, April 21, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Women’s Global Leadership Initiative presents the R.U.N. (Rise Up Now!) Forum, a full-day event designed to provide Sonoma County’s most underserved and underrepresented with the tools necessary to run for local boards, commissions and committees.
Participants will have a chance to voice their concerns, raise questions and learn how to apply for available seats from a panel of experienced community leaders. The event will feature a variety of locally notable speakers including Santa Rosa Mayor Ernesto Olivares and 5th District Supervisor Efren Carrillo.
Developed by several local non-profits, county departments and county chapters of state and national organizations, RUN was created to help increase ethnic diversity and the current pool of female candidates in Sonoma County.
