Help educate the public by creating a PSA about why choosing to drink tap water is better than purchasing disposable plastic water bottles.

A PSA, or a public service announcement, is a short film that helps change public attitudes and behaviors by raising awareness about a social issue. Your video should feature a creative way to teach the public why tap water is better than disposable plastic water bottles. You can create a news-cast, skit, animation, commercial, reality television show, or even a music video. Let your imagination go wild, but please read all of the following instructions carefully!

The Night Shift Film Festivals Present Short Films

On October 7 and 8, Healdsburg Flix Mix and the Mendocino Film Festival invite film- and art-lovers to a special screening of the 2016 Mendocino Film Festival Short Films Program at Paul Mahder Gallery in downtown Healdsburg. samuel beckett examines a piece of filmIn 1964, acclaimed author Samuel Beckett set out on one of the strangest ventures in cinematic history: his embattled collaboration with silent era genius Buster Keaton on the production of a short avant-garde film entitled, simply, "Film." Beckett was nearing the peak of his fame, which would culminate in his receiving aNobel Prize five years later. Keaton, in his waning years, never lived to see Beckett's canonization. Now, the Sonoma Film Institute (SFI) at Sonoma State University opens its 2016 fall season with the North Bay premiere of "Notfilm," a new documentary on the making of Beckett's only film, on Aug. 26 at 7 p.m. in Warren Auditorium.
